Optimum cooling in every situation
Radiators are key components of cooling systems in motor vehicles such as cars, trucks, forklifts and industrial machinery. Their main function is to dissipate excess heat from the engine, preventing it from overheating and ensuring optimal operating temperatures. The radiator works on the principle of heat exchange, where hot coolant flows through the radiator and releases heat into the surrounding air.

Why are radiators so important?
- Heat dissipation: Coolers effectively dissipate excess heat from the engine, preventing overheating and thermal damage.
- Maintaining optimum temperature: They ensure that the engine runs at a stable temperature, which is key to its efficiency.
- Reducing the risk of breakdown: By maintaining the right thermal conditions, radiators minimise the risk of breakdown and extend the life of the engine.
How do you look after your radiators?
Regular inspection and cleaning
In order for the radiator to operate efficiently, it is necessary to regularly check its condition and remove contaminants such as dust, mud or plant debris. It is recommended that an inspection is carried out every 100 motoring hours or every month, depending on the operating conditions of the machine.
Changing the coolant
Coolant should be changed according to the manufacturer's recommendations, usually every 500 motoring hours or every two years. It is a good idea to use the correct coolant to ensure protection against corrosion and deposits.
Check for leaks
Regularly checking the cooling system for leaks is crucial to its proper functioning. If any leaks are detected, repairs should be carried out immediately to avoid more serious damage.
